Medical Director
Dr. Dean J. Conterato
Dr. Conterato is a 1985 graduate of Rush Medical College, where he also completed his residency and acted as chief resident. Following his residency, Dr. Conterato joined the staff at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center (Rush) as an associate professor. While at Rush, he served as director of the multidisciplinary GI clinic.
As the Director of Radiation Oncology at Rush North Shore Medical Center from 1989 to 2008, Dr. Conterato initiated and developed the prostate cancer implant program and helped develop a comprehensive GI Tumor Clinic.
Dr. Conterato also practices at the Chicago Prostate Center and is an experienced practitioner in prostate brachytherapy, having performed thousands of procedures to date. He has participated in national conferences, proctored physicians in performing seed implants and authored articles on prostate seed implants as well as other topics in radiation oncology.
Dr. Conterato serves as the Medical Director of CyberKnife Center of Chicago.
